Test fleet: Mato Guzzi V85TT
Another month and another update of going nowhere but the supermarket on the Moto Guzzi V85TT. With lockdown starting to lift, hopefully next month's update will be a little bit more meaty.
In the meantime I thought I'd use this space to compare and contrast the V85TT with the other bikes I have in my garage, and look at pros and cons of each depending on their size and sector, and see which bike would suit which adventure. From big bike to small, I seem to have unwittingly collected them all.
THE BATTLESHIPS
Let's say the V85TT represents the large capacity adventure sector including bikes such as the BMW Rl250 GS and KTM 1290s, etc. I know the 853cc engine size is a little smaller on the Guzzi, but it's still a meaty option to take on an adventure, especially weighing in at 230 kilos wet.
As we all know, big bikes such as the Guzzi are perfect for covering big distances in comfort, fully laden and with a pillion if need be. They come with all the gizmos such as cruise
