Although her father was a theatre director, Helen Hunt’s pursuit of acting came early on from somewhere you wouldn’t expect. “There was something magical about watching Bewitched, and I loved Elizabeth Montgomery,” she said.

“I always thought that I would love to play this role in a series and play the part of the good witch Samantha. I thought about acting and that it would be a good job.”

Of course, the then-shy girl would eventually find her own share of magic, winning four Emmys for and an Oscar for. But it wasn’t easy.
