Short-sleeved jerseys

A good short-sleeved jersey is a staple of a cyclist’s wardrobe. Although this type of garment can shine on its own when the mercury starts rising, a good one is pretty versatile and can be worn with other layers to extend its usefulness from spring to autumn.

Warm weather is the time when cycling can be properly enjoyed to the full, and the benefits of a good jersey will come to the fore. Of all the jobs a short-sleeved jersey should excel at, heat and moisture management are the two key players. The last thing a cyclist needs is to overheat or end up in an uncomfortable, sweaty mess. It’s not an easy job to get right when so many variables come into play.

We also have to take into account that the British weather can be a touch more varied than if you only rode in the Alps or southern Spain, so our demands for a jersey can be a little different as sometimes the lightest, most airy options might not be up to the task of British riding.
