Stephen Graham and Daniel Mays star in this Sky One sci-fi comedy about a Special Investigations Unit (out now, download/VOD) stars R&B singer Mary J Blige as an LAPD cop who investigates a series of grisly killings of her fellow officers. In each case, footage from the scene reveals the presence of a mysterious shadowy figure… Tapping into outrage about police brutality towards African-Americans, this socially conscious mashup of police procedural and supernatural horror mashup boasts one very impressive set-piece – a gruesome liquor store bloodbath – but is fatally marred by sluggish pacing. Finally, fans of Gerry Anderson will appreciate (YouTube, out now), which follows the crew of a spaceship that’s been flung millions of miles across space, and at the time of writing has racked up three episodes. The work of the team behind documentary , it’s been shot entirely in the three-man crew’s flat during lockdown, using their existing collection of puppets and props, and its cheap-as-chips homemade aesthetic is truly charming.
