Waterlilies are the jewel in the water garden crown: a Monet painting of them may be unattainable, but waterlilies themselves are not. The majority are hardy, easy to grow and, once planted, require minimal maintenance. They can produce a succession of buds that open and flower from June through to September in a colour palette that includes white, pink, red, yellow and copper.
