Bad bikes?

Enjoying the magazine - thank you! I'm just writing to share my impressions of the articles covering the Ducati 748 and Suzuki TLl000S. Were both of these bikes so poorly designed? They both appear to be complete engineering disasters. I can imagine that both would cost an absolute fortune to put right and the types of problems described are downright dangerous if not checked and addressed.
