Raw and violent, Haasil shows the ugly face of student politics, where student leaders often get power-mad and become a law unto themselves. Sometimes, the only solution to eradicate such people is to become like them. That’s what happens with Anirudh (Jimmy Sheirgill), who wants nothing better in life than to get married to Niharika (Hrishitaa Bhatt). He becomes involved in the tussle between student leaders Gaurishankar Pandey (Ashutosh Rana) and Ranvijay Singh (Irrfan Khan).
