Watching the sonographer scan my swollen belly, I was so excited.

I was 17 weeks pregnant and it was the first time I’d seen my baby on screen.

‘Looks like a boy,’ the sonographer smiled.

I was thrilled and I knew my partner, Hser, would be thrilled too.

But then she added something else…

‘I can’t quite make out his right leg,’ she said. ‘But he could be hiding it.’
