I suppose it is inevitable that I’m kicking off with what I should be doing right now, and that is shooting rabbits. Where I live in the South West, we usually see our first young rabbits in February, which means there are plenty of half- to three-quarter-grown ones that are perfect for the pot around by the end of spring.

Rabbit haemorrhagic disease has really taken its toll in some areas, but numbers have remained fairly high in my locality, and some farms were overrun with rabbits last year.
