Catamaran Writing Conference

The 2020 Catamaran Writing Conference will be held from July 26 to July 30 at the Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California. The conference features workshops, craft talks, readings, and literary-themed excursions for poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers. The faculty includes poets Susan Browne and Joseph Millar, fiction writers Lisa Fugard and Josip Novakovich, creative nonfiction writers Charles Hood and Dan White, and poet and nonfiction writer Joan Rose Staffen. Fiction writer Jane Smiley will give a guest reading. The cost of the conference, which includes tuition, shared lodging on campus, and all meals, is $1,350; commuter tuition, which includes all meals, is $950. Registration is first come, first served. Workshops are limited to 10 participants each; the conference will be limited to 50 participants this year to accommodate social distancing.
