If you were to ask me what my favourite genre of television is, firstly I’d say: thank you for taking an interest in my interests! Most people just talk about themselves. And then I’d say: it is, of course, the genre of “complicated female lead in a show that was axed too soon but then developed a cult following online”. Notable examples include Freaks and Geeks, Enlightened and the pinnacle, my favourite, drumroll … The Comeback.
