‘I love it here because I can cook with produce that I plant and harvest myself’
In the sleepy Hamptons hamlet of Water Mill, lifestyle and food guru Pamela Morgan enjoys the views from the private jetty outside her imposing lakeside home. Surrounded by woodland, the property is a contemporary take on traditional Long Island country living.
“We wanted to have a house next to the water and we found this wonderful place right next to one of the lakes in the area,” she says of the moment she and husband Michael bought it four years ago. Of what drew her to move from Manhattan to the Hamptons, she recalls: “I think its beauty, first of all. The sea is constantly changing, is always different throughout the four seasons. In the summer it’s especially beautiful.”
