DX

By now, we DXers have realized how a pandemic affects DXpeditioning. The April 2020 DXpedition calendar from dx-world.net (Figure 1; TNX Col, MMØNDX) pretty much says it all.

In a matter of only a couple of weeks that started in early March, almost all business and casual foreign travel has been halted or seriously restricted, worldwide. I think it is safe to say that nearly ALL planned DXpeditions for most of 2020 have been cancelled or postponed.

In a few cases, DXpeditioners were left stranded trying to return home. Janusz Wegrzyn, SP9FIH, was on Norfolk Island as VK9NK when he became stranded there as noted on March 20th. As of this writing (April 19th), he was still there. You can follow up on his story at <http://vk9nk.dxpeditions.org>. I am sure there could be others out there who got stuck somewhere as well.
