Vambo

“Although we’re very much inspired by the music of the 1970s we don’t want to live there.”

THANKS TO THE LATE Glaswegian group the Sensational Alex Harvey Band’s song of the same name, Vambo are often mistaken for a tribute act.

“That happens all the time, but it’s a bit mad because I’m not, a song written and recorded by his father Ray back when he was with 70s glam-rockers Mud. Jack and his bandmates adopted both the name the song, and even re-recorded it for their self-titled debut released last year.
