FOR FIFTEEN YEARS, Fiona Green gazed at the bluestone ruins on the farm adjoining hers, dreaming about what they might once have been. She’d moved to the country from Canberra in 2000, keen for her children to swap concrete and street lights for fields and trees. “I’ve lived everywhere, but when the kids were little it seemed like a good idea to let them grow up on a farm,” she says.
