Joan As Police Woman

“I ALWAYS take the chance, if there’s one to take,” says Joan Wasser, on the line from her Brooklyn apartment. With New York in lockdown, the singer and songwriter is, true to her word, using the time to mix a live album recorded in 2018. She’s also enjoying having her new album, Cover Two, finally out in the world. “I’m so glad I get to release a record right now. That’s what I personally need, more new music released. Bring it on!”

Wasser is guiding through a selection of her work as Joan As Police Woman, taking in a detour toand her collaborative LP with Benjamin Lazar Davis. “I do not have children, so these are my kids! There are parts of every album that I feel really proud of.”
