Believe it or not, the internet-connected refrigerator is celebrating its 20th birthday this year. LG’s four-door Internet Digital DIOS fridge/ freezer debuted at the turn of the millennium, complete with built-in ethernet port and an LCD screen capable of displaying the temperature inside and recipes downloaded from the web.
It even had a built-in MP3 player.
