Executive travel

With five days to spend getting to know a T6 California Executive, the first thing I did was rally the gang, pack a bag and head off on a road trip.
Obviously, this being a Caravelle rather than a Camper meant we’d have to book some accommodation en route, but that wasn’t a problem as the ‘Executive’ part of the package means it has built-in Wi-Fi.
My wife, Jo, hooked up her laptop and booked four nights accommodation via Airbnb, leaving me to concentrate on the navigation and all-important road trip playlist.
So, why did we choose Cornwall? Nostalgia really. Way back in the days before kids (seems like a lifetime ago), Jo and I would head off to Newquay in our old Bay Window Camper at least once a year without fail. However, a mixture of having ‘done’ Cornwall to death, and the additional stress and equipment involved in transporting young kids across country in a heater-less Van led us to drop our annual pilgrimage to the West Country.
