There’s a roaring in the valley like a steam train bearing down, as it flies across the treetops and licks along the crown.

Like fireworks exploding, the canopy’s aflame.

It’s racing now towards us as the forest cries in pain.

The creatures they are running and the birds are flying by as the smoke gets to choking us and filling up the sky.

We are trained and we are willing and we really have good gear, but our guts are churning over as we fight back at our fear.
