MARGARET River has a totally different dining experience with the opening of Meelup Farmhouse - a country garden restaurant accessed by timber archways. The new eatery features brunches and all-day grazing along with cocktails and a range of seating options. Meelup Farmhouse is located at the northern end of Margaret River region and is the brainchild of husband and wife team Liz and Mark Ahearn, who have taken over the space from Lot 80 on the Wise Wines property.

“Our minds just exploded with what we could do to this place,” said Liz Ahearn. “That's probably what Mark and I enjoy the most: seeing something not at its greatest and thinking, 'How can we turn this around?'
