Falcons flying flag for the North-East

PROMOTIONS ARE usually marked with trophies and Champagne. Celebrations last long into the night, if not the whole weekend.

It was a little different for Newcastle Falcons last month. All involved with the club would have welcomed confirmation from the RFU that they had topped the Greene King IPA Championship and would be promoted to the Gallagher Premiership, but there was no big party.
