test house WE TEST COFFEE MACHINES

HOW WE TESTED

We assessed the machines for ease of use, pressure build-up, the length of the brewing process, the temperature of the coffee and quality of its crema.

TYPES OF MACHINES

ESPRESSO machines are best to make barista-style espressos at home; you can adjust the strength to suit your taste. They’re usually more affordable than bean-to-cup machines, and offer flexibility as you can use a variety of ground coffee, which is less pricey than capsules and generates less waste. Some pump espresso machines have a wand to steam and froth milk.
