DESPITE finishing in a commendable sixth place in our giant 4×4 double cab shootout, the Isuzu D-Max is now the greybeard of the segment and the market is keenly awaiting its replacement.

Our long-termer has been with us for 10 months and 17 000km and its most recent trip was to the Free State – Clarens specifically is paradise. It’s ringed by trails, many of which fall within the Clarens Village Conservancy, with the locals doing a fine job of maintaining not just the routes, but also keeping out invasive plants.
