STARTER MOTOR

KG lovers flock to Bremen

Just prior to the European lock-down, a record crowd of 45,582 attended the 18th Bremen Classic Motorshow, the highlight of which for VW fans was a special display to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Karmann Ghia Type 14. Production of the model started in August 1955 and lasted 19 years, during which 362,601 coupés and 80,881 convertibles were made.

Star attraction was the very last model to leave the Osnabrück plant on 31 July 1974, a Phoenix Red example normally resident in VW's historic collection at Volkswagen Osnabrück.
