A TRIBUTE TO TUROSS

Located between Batemans Bay and Narooma, Tuross is one of the most popular systems on the NSW far south coast and consistently draws anglers from far and wide, season after season.

On a stretch of coastline that boasts first-class estuaries like the Clyde River and Wagonga Inlet, Tuross arguably sits atop the tree as the location of choice for serious fishos.

In the last decade or so it has coped with floods, droughts and, very recently, raging bushfires. It’s also soaked up an enormous amount of fishing pressure from recreational anglers.

Yet it keeps delivering.

I’ve been fishing Tuross since the early 1990s and I recently worked out that at least five of my ‘personal best’ estuary species – flathead, bream, whiting, estuary perch and bass – were caught in this system.

You can’t argue with results like that!
