Georgetown, the Bahamas, is an interesting place that provides an oasis for the remote cruiser to stock up before heading back into the boonies. It is remote enough to have a third-world charm; the supermarket, beholden to the weather, is either abundant or perilously bare.

‘Chicken Town’, as it’s known to cruisers, is the end of procrastination road. Talk can get you here but courage is required for the next step into the big
