EDITOR’S letter

The late Diana Vreeland, the legendary Harper’s BAZAAR fashion editor, was renowned for her bon mots, perhaps the most famous being: “The eye has to travel.”

As we all navigate the awful uncertainty, dark moods and uncomfortable realities ahead (cabin fever, for starters) that come from isolating ourselves at home as your means to travel. has always been about escapism, from the exotic locations and fashion fantasies featured in our shoots to our profiles of inspiring women and the creative geniuses behind the brands. It’s hard to gauge what is going to happen during the next few months: we’re only at the starting line with this thing. But the team are determined to be with you on this journey. We want to hear from you as to what you need in your life right now when it comes to our print and online editions. Email us at or DM me via my personal Instagram account, @eugeniekelly, and let us know what you want to see. More self-care stories? Wardrobe inspiration when it comes to working from home? Need to know how to get your culture fix from the couch? This last, we’re already onto, BTW. Turn to page 154 for a comprehensive guide on the latest exhibitions and performances now livestreaming that will satiate your appetite for the arts and soothe your soul at the same time.
