Nicola Gobbo was born into a life of privilege. A smart and confident defence lawyer, the niece of a former Victorian Governor and Supreme Court judge, she was blessed with a pedigree that opened doors in Melbourne society.

The only problem was Gobbo was keeping a dirty little secret. An attention-seeker and shrewd liar, the blonde society girl was keeping a stiletto in both camps of the law, advising her clients and informing on them to police.

And her clients included some of Melbourne’s biggest underworld figures such as Carl Williams, the Morans and Tony Mokbel.
