Sir Stirling Moss 1929-2020

His career ended violently against an earth bank at Goodwood on Easter Monday 1962, but Sir Stirling Moss still had so much to give to the world of motorsport until, 58 years later, he slipped quietly away from us in the early hours of April 12 – Easter Sunday – aged 90. ‘The Boy’, as he will always be remembered by devoted fans around the world, is finally at peace after a long illness.

The popular epitaph as ‘the greatest racing driver never to win the Formula 1 world championship’falls far short of doing him justice.
