SUPER Southerner
In 1985 I passed my motorcycle test on a Suzuki GS250T. It was a great little bike that took me to the Isle of Man and rallies in Scotland. However, all the'faces' in Southport rode British bikes and I had to have one. Most of my friends rode Triumph or BSA twins, with the occasional Velocette thrown in for good measure. What should I get?
Enter my good friend Graham. He had found the perfect bike for me, despite being told that I didn't want a basketcase, in the form of a 1950s 500cc AJS single. It was available for the princely sum of£ 185! We had a look and Graham convinced me it would be worth a lot more in the future.
