Since giving birth to son Zephyr (two years old) and daughter Serena (eight months old), fashion designer, youtuber and mum influencer Simone Khambatta is all about multi-tasking. While she gives out handy parenting and babycare tips on her YouTube channel Mama Says, in her life behind the camera, it’s her family and staff at home that really help her keep the show running. “I am able to do all the things I want to, knowing that the kids are well taken care of back home,” she tells us. As she settles into hair and makeup, while simultaneously attending to numerous phone calls, this firecracker of a mum gets candid about her mommyhood journey with Zephyr and Serena.

Born and raised in Dubai, Simone and entrepreneur husband Karan Panthaky are high school sweethearts, who have been together since the 10th grade. Although their careers took them on different paths—Simone moved to New York to study fashion at the Parsons School of Design—they eventually, made their way back to Mumbai where they got married. A few years later, they decided it was time to start a
