HOMOLOGATION HEROES

Homologation. Few, if any words in the petrolhead lexicon have the power to create such an upswell of emotion amongst the initiated, those of us with Four Star coursing through our veins, and few will arose as many blank, baffled faces amongst those who view cars as little more than a conveyance.

To those of us in the former grouping however — and I include everyone reading this publication within that — homologation is nothing less than the distillation of motorsport at its best; it is (or rather was) the single, unbroken tether connecting the special stage exploits of our Group 4 rally heroes, to the somewhat forlorn-looking Popular Plus down the street.
