The French return

If you’re older than 40, you probably remember the Peugeot 404 and 504 bakkies built in South Africa in the 1970s. They were initially built by PACSA (Peugeot and Citroën South Africa), but after Peugeot left South Africa in 1979, the Sigma Motor Company took over.

Sigma merged with Ford to form Samcor in 1985, and the Peugeot 404
