We said: “The script occasionally raises a chuckle, but the predictable plotting and seen-it-all-before set-pieces are a disappointment.” Mackenzie Crooks’s two-part reinvention of (6 April, DVD) won plenty of fans at Christmas thanks to its ecological message and celebration of British folklore. Now you can buy it to keep! Or you could just watch it via iPlayer. We said: “Crook is magnificent, while the idiosyncratic production design and effects produce lavish set-pieces that are part Tim Burton, part John Tenniel.” Also out: box sets of the revived season one (out now, DVD) and season four (6 April, Blu-ray).
