Some local councils in England are undermining the Right to Build registers, according to Andrew Baddeley-Chappell, CEO of the National Custom and Self Build Association (NaCSBA). He said that he had seen “shocking practices” from councils trying to restrict access to the Right to Build registers. Around 11,400 registrations have been added since the start of 2019, but this figure does not reflect the underlying demand.
