    THE VEHICLE OR THE VAN?

    Q Hello Tech Talk, My wife and I have a dilemma. We are looking to travel around Australia in the next two years so we have commenced researching our caravan. The dilemma is, do we stick with our five-year-old 4x4 (Prado) with 2500kg towing or do we upgrade to 3500kg towing?

    The changeover to a 3500kg towing vehicle seems a lot ($35 – 60k+), but I have been trying to calculate the payload of our Prado with the maximum 2500kg caravan as I am concerned about the GCM, and I have been told that I can’t exceed
