Could the air you inhale be harming your health? According to the Royal College of Physicians*, air pollution is responsible for around 40,000 deaths a year in the UK. ‘Air pollution is a known cause of lung cancer and is connected to heart disease, stroke, diabetes and changes in the brain linked to dementia,’ says Professor Stephen Holgate, RCP’s adviser on air quality.
