WHY EDINBURGH’S ATTACKING THREAT IS CAUSING A STIR

THE SUSPENSION of the Guinness Pro14 due to the pandemic was especially hard on Edinburgh, as they lead their conference and are on track for a first-ever appearance in the final. The Scottish side have a sound set-piece, formidable fringe defence and fearless rucking from the likes of props Pierre Schoeman and WP Nel. And it’s backed up by a fast, rapier attack that is making the usual suspects sit up and take note.

Their attacking stats are impressive – top three for metres gained, clean breaks and defenders beaten – and they have some serious weapons.
