The Deep Six All Our Yesterdays
ollowing a line-up reshuffle, Neil Clitheroe, ex Makin’ Time, joined The Deep Six on drums. Their latest offering is a brand new four-track EP, which was launched mid-January, via Heavy Soul, at a special show at Birmingham’s Night Owl, with special guest Simon Stebbing (Purple Hearts) joining The Deep Six on stage there. Their latest EP sees the Mod supergroup delve into their roots and influences, revisiting a few semi-forgotten ’60s gems and giving them the Deep Six treatment. It opens with their reworking of The Monkees’ track Pleasant Valley Sunday, putting a Deep Six spin on the old favourite. It’s accompanied by High Time Baby, a standard for the Spencer Davis Group back in ’65, with The Deep Six adding their own slant to a classic.
