    BEST TIME TO VISIT

    Late May is a great time to go. It’s low season, most of the passes will be open after the winter, and prices are lower. The weather is more settled and pleasant from late June to August, but the prices are also higher.

    GETTING THERE

    Most major international airlines fly to Zürich from Mumbai and New Delhi (return fares from ₹45,000).

    GETTING AROUND

    If you’d like to do a road trip, Europcar, Hertz, Avis and Budget are available for rent from Zürich Airport ₹. See the driving trip pages in this feature for what to keep in mind. Roads might sometimes be closed due to weather conditions; your hotel can advise you. If you’re not driving, the Swiss Travel Pass(from ₹17,500 for a three-day adult second class pass). A Swiss Travel System Family Card is available free on request, and allows children under 16 to travel free when accompanied by at least one parent).
