I REMEMBER WATCHING THE 2005 Hong Kong film adaptation of the Japanese anime series Initial D as a teenager. Cheesy acting and bad CGI aside, I recall being fascinated by the drifting action in the movie. Granted, it might have been exaggerated, which is typical of such films, but it certainly evoked an excitement in me that cars were able to drift through sharp corners.
