GRAVEL PHOBIA

“Just give it more gas!” “Stop gripping the bars so tightly!” These are some of the coaching instructions I’ve heard off-road instructors yell at students trying to learn to ride on gravel and sand. The yelling doesn’t really help the rider. Fear of riding on gravel is so common that I want to share a story of how Liz Jansen, Motorcycle Mojo contributor and long distance traveller, helped me develop a Gravel Phobia curriculum.
