A Dream Takes Flight

In a tale of love, passion, tribulations, and determination that’s fit for Hollywood, Stacy Brown, the original Chicken Salad Chick, has come full circle, opening a fancy founder’s restaurant, celebrating a new marriage, and standing strong as guardian of a friendly culture that began in her home kitchen 12 years ago.

The restaurant chain Stacy started as a divorced mother of three in Auburn, Alabama, now has more than 150 stores in 16 states and was sold last fall to a firm that has experience with growing similar businesses. While she is no longer involved in day-to-day operations, more than once over the last dozen years, Stacy’s fierce resolve and clear vision have kept the enterprise on track.
