SPRINGER STRIP-DOWN

I don’t know about you, but I love a challenge, and really enjoy working on a troublesome airgun combo and making it shoot well again. So I jumped at the chance to work on a friend’s recent acquisition – a little Weihrauch HW57 underlever which had been fitted with what seemed to be far too large a scope.

My friend had been shooting the rifle and didn’t like the way it had been set up (it’s always a good idea to refit a scope so it’s just right for you) and wasn’t really getting the accuracy he’d been hoping for, so asked me to take a look.

I thought it would be interesting to share my findings with you, because while this isn’t a full step-by-step guide, the process is pretty much the same when dealing with any spring-powered rifle of this
