Visitors to the Wisconsin State Capitol often misidentify the gilded statue atop its dome. That statue, commonly known as “Forward”, sculpted by Daniel Chester French in 1911. The real , shown above, has graced the Wisconsin Historical Society lobby since its installation in 1998.
