BUYER’S GUIDE: G-843 “MIGHTY MITE” 1/4-TON TRUCK

Mid-America Research Corporation designed the M422 for the United States Marine Corps to fill the requirement for a small, lightweight, low-profile, highly maneuverable vehicle. The result was a 4x4 with an aluminum body and an aluminum, air-cooled, 108-cid V-4 engine. Dubbed the “Mighty Mite,” the rugged vehicle weighed just less than 1 ton.
