OH, DANILO, MAMA MIA!

MUGELLO, ITALY, GAVE US one of the best MotoGP races in a long time. This is quite a statement considering that most races are anyway full of instances and loads of entertainment. This one, however, was different, for it saw an outsider to the norm challenge all the big guns and come out on top in an exhilarating fashion. “Oh, Danilo!” was the chant of the day.

That long straight in Mugello meant that the Yamaha and, to an extent Suzuki, too, were expected to struggle due to their horsepower disadvantage.
