Even before we could wrap our heads around the exceptionally busy, unbelievably hectic month that is December, the holiday season rears it’s glittery head and makes itself known. It is just in time, of course, which is something we need to remind ourselves every day. Funnily, this yuletide shock happens to us pretty much every year, as we attempt to prepare for the resplendent season of gift-giving and merry-making. Hello Christmas!
Now, apart from decorating our homes and getting it ready for our first dinner party, the act of gift-buying seems to be the task that is most daunting and time-consuming. I mean, if you think about it, selecting the perfect present for one person can be stressful on its own. Add a long list of loved ones and friends to the mix, a limited time period to get the gifts, heavy traffic, crowds of people shopping, and of course, planning more than few dinner parties…Well, these seem to be enough reasons to make you want to hide out for the rest of the season.
Of course, we all know that isn’t going to happen.
