T his timber-framed house, known as Wisteria Way, is designed as two stacked rectilinear volumes. The lower volume, comprising the living spaces, faces the sun and extends down the slope to enclose the garden. The upper volume, comprising the bedrooms, faces dense bush and extends across the site to cover the carport and entry below.
A light-filled double-height entry and stair void define the intersection of the two volumes.
The use of zoned living for private retreats and the clients’ entertaining needs are carefully woven into the stunning inner space.
