From the car we spot the first blackbuck, or bezoar antelope as they are also called. They are about a mile away, but have already seen us. It’s generally said that these antelope are shy, and the animals fit this description by taking flight a few moments after the car is stopped. Through the binoculars we can see several nice bucks around the herd of females. Just as we expected, since the females are starting to get into heat.

As is typical for this species, they flee just a short distance before stopping to orientate themselves. However, a few seconds later they have seen enough. Once again, they are in motion –
